Mahima Lamba is a first year kindergarten teacher from Delta who took on the bold challenge to address 800 teacher delegates at the 2016 AGM to speak on behalf of the new generation of BC teachers. Mahima describes how beginning teachers value and represent the diversities of students we teach in contemporary classrooms, and powerfully addresses the ‘entitlement’ often used to label her generation. She articulates the quality of help and mentorship new teachers are looking for from their more experienced colleagues. Listen to this strong new voice in BC public education here.
